Terms of Service

By creating an account or using AirBite, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, and at least 13). AirBite is not directed to children. If you are under the applicable age, do not use the app.

2. The service

AirBite is an AI-assisted recipe and air-fryer cooking-guidance app. Features include recipe discovery, a conversational AI assistant, and a guided cooking mode (some features require a paid subscription). We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.

4. Subscriptions, free trial & billing

• AirBite Plus is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play; billing, the 7-day free trial, and payment are handled by those stores, subject to their terms.
• The subscription auto-renews at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel it in your App Store / Google Play account settings — not in the app.
• Refunds are handled by Apple/Google under their policies and by applicable law (including any statutory withdrawal/cooling-off rights you may have).
• Prices, trial length, and plan features may change with notice for future periods.

5. AI-generated content

Recipes, cooking instructions, times, temperatures, and chat responses are generated or assisted by artificial intelligence (including third-party models such as OpenAI) and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, safety, or fitness of any AI output. Use your own judgement.

6. Recipes, cooking & food safety — IMPORTANT

AirBite provides recipes and guidance for general informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for cooking safely. In particular:

• Verify that food is fully cooked — check internal temperatures and doneness yourself; do not rely on our times/temperatures alone. Undercooked food can cause serious illness.
• Allergens are your responsibility — check every ingredient. Dietary labels, filters, or preferences (e.g. "vegetarian", "gluten-free") are best-effort and not guaranteed; do not rely on them if you have an allergy or intolerance.
• Follow your appliance's manual and safety instructions — air fryers and other appliances get hot and carry burn and fire risks. Never leave cooking unattended.
• You assume all risks arising from preparing, cooking, and consuming food using the app.

7. Not medical or professional advice

AirBite does not provide medical, health, dietary, or nutritional advice. Content is not a substitute for a qualified professional. Consult one for dietary, allergy, or health needs.

8. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no unlawful, harmful, abusive, or infringing use; no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or scrape the service; no using the AI features to generate unlawful or harmful content.

9. Intellectual property

The app and its content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use AirBite for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Third-party services

AirBite relies on third parties (e.g. OpenAI, Fal.ai, RevenueCat, Supabase, Apple, Google). Your use may be subject to their terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (/privacy), incorporated by reference.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AirBite is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind (express, implied, or statutory), including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to the app, recipes, AI output, or cooking.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) €50.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your mandatory rights as a consumer. Where you are a consumer in the EU/UK, your statutory rights are unaffected.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify us against claims and losses arising from your misuse of the app or breach of these Terms.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will notify you and require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the app. Continued use after acceptance constitutes agreement.

16. Termination

You may stop using AirBite at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or as required by law.

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence. EU consumers may bring claims in their home jurisdiction and via the EU ODR platform.
